“Life is passing rapidly. Fiercely commit to every moment you find beautiful and remember it. Record it. Fully, whole-heartedly inhabit it. Awareness is one of the greatest things you can posses in this life as it is important as the very air we breathe and water we drink to stay alive.”
– Victoria Erickson
How beautiful is this life? The sun rises every morning. You have coffee waiting for you in the kitchen. You have the ability to love and be loved, and also the choice to change what you don’t like. Nothing in this life is permanent – the stress you’re feeling, the people, the situations you’re facing – it’s all going to fade. And that’s okay! That’s what makes each moment so memorable.
Life can be anything you want it to be, as long as you work for it. You’ve got to study to make the good grades to graduate college. You’ve got to work to earn the money to buy those plane tickets. Or it could be as simple as walking up to a stranger and asking them how their day is going (except don’t be weird about it). A smile is all it could take to improve someone’s day.
Which is why I’m starting this blog. I hope to encourage those of you who have chosen to open this. I hope to document all of the exciting adventures I go on, whether they be ten minutes from my house or across the country. Every one of you are more than capable of making each day a little brighter for someone else. And if you look at it that way, this world all of a sudden doesn’t seem as terrible as we think it is.
And through this blog I urge you to jump out of your comfort zone often, and take notice of everything beautiful. Because if you don’t now, when?
